Terry Fox Centre

Terry Fox Centre Overview

The Terry Fox Centre (TFC or Centre) will be created to honour and celebrate Terry Fox, to highlight advances in Canadian cancer research, and help keep Terry’s Dream alive by inspiring a new generation of leaders and donors. The Centre will be a place where people will experience Terry’s values of courage, determination and humility. Visitors to the Centre will have a transformative experience – they will be entertained, informed and inspired to tell others to visit. They will relive or learn afresh about Terry’s story, learn about the progress made in Canadian cancer research, and be inspired to take personal actions in support of cancer research in Terry’s name.

The Centre will be organized on three themes, each a major public space, each on its own level in a uniquely designed facility. Guests will be received into “Terry’s Run”, a central gathering and event space, then proceed down to “Terry’s Story”, a theatre experience and “Terry’s Dream”, an interactive exhibit and display area showcasing Canada’s progress in cancer research.
